Ronnie Healy is an Internanional South African showjumper. He produces young horses from just broken right up to Grand Prix level.
'I have trained with top trainers from South Africa and Europe which has given me the expeirence to produce horses to the best of their ability and train riders right up to top level.'
Ronnie left South Africa in 2005 where he had competed successfuly at top level for several years. After inititially being based with David Macpherson in the Uk and Max Faninger In Germany he met his fiance Charlotte and based himself at her family farm where he helps
produce the young horses and also rides for several good owners.
Having trained under some top trainers including David Macpherson,
Rodrigo Pessoa and Corinne Bracken, Ronnie has built up an excellent
reputation locally as a trainer himself and is studying to become a BSJA accredited coach.
Charlotte Platt is one of the Uk's top up and coming young show jumpers having been long listed for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and one of the main British contenders for the 2009 European Championchips until an injury to her top horse put an end to her campaign. Still only 23 (in 2009), She has jumped on 9 senior Nation Cup teams including 2 winning ones. She also jumped the only double clear in the Hickstead leg of the Super League in 2008 where the British finished second. Charlotte was also a top young rider winning individual bronze and team silver in 2006 and team gold in 2007.
With her top horse out of action until the end of 2009, Charlotte is concentrating on producing her younger horses and has several very good prospects including home bred ones.
Together with her fiancÚ Ronnie Healy they have up to 20 horses in work at any one time and can be seen competing locally in novice classes on young horses during the week and and at top national shows at the week ends on the more experienced horses.
Charlotte has set her goals very high for the next few years with the world equestrian games in her sights for 2010 and with the ultimate goal of a team place at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
